SM Industries has the world's most advanced coating plant for industrial surface treatment.
For years, SM Industries has been a trusted partner in delivering a broad spectrum of products to the oil and gas industry. Then, we carry out advanced order production of complex steel structures including CMC’s, sheave clusters, riser tension systems, derricks, cranes and winches to name a few.
The quality is second to none, and so is the result of our effort to run a sustainable production.
The plant is fully automatic and the painting process is done with a total of six robots and the applicate the paint with such accuracy that we save approx. 40 percent on the consumption of paint – compared to manual labor.
That saves us 366 tons of paint per year and by that we avoid 17 annual transports of paint from Poland to Denmark. Not to mention the CO2 emissions that both manufacturing and transportation entail.

Sustainability
SM Industries have the world's highest level of reuse in the metallization process producing wind components and towers. Our automated manufacturing metallize with robots equipped with metallization guns. This reduce the process time with over 50%.
